Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center will host a grand opening for the new Cancer and Infusion Center located at 1231 First Street, Suite 8. The community is invited to see the new center on June 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m.
“We hope that combining the oncologist/hematologist office and the chemotherapy and infusion services into one facility will be more convenient for our cancer patients,” says CEO Clyde Wood. “Additionally, the larger space will be more comfortable setting for patients receiving chemotherapy or infusion treatments.”
Hospital staff members of the new center will be on hand to give tours of the facility and answer any questions.
“We always strive to provide the best care to our patients,” says Oncologist Gilda Gomez, M.D. “In seeing the new center, visitors will see that we’ve designed the space with their comfort in mind, while at the same time including state-of-the-art equipment for their treatments.”
Additionally, visitors will have a chance to see Oncology On Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey, an art exhibition of works by cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and healthcare providers.
