Behavioral Health
Resolving mental and emotional health challenges requires special care. At Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center, we focus on helping individuals achieve optimal mental health in a professional, caring environment. We offer a full range of services for adults, including diagnostic evaluation, crisis stabilization and treatment. Our behavioral health team provides care for a wide range of mental and emotional challenges, from depression and severe mood swings to dementia and acute mental illness.
We offer individualized care in a safe, supportive environment, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each person. Our inpatient care services are designed to help individuals work through acute mental challenges and resume daily functioning. Outpatient services are also available for individuals with emotional, psychological or chemical dependency issues.
Inpatient hospitalization involves stabilizing the crisis that led to the hospitalization, providing a thorough evaluation, developing a treatment plan and coordinating care in a supportive environment that provides 24-hour care.
Treatment focuses on behavioral health needs and teaches new ways to cope with the illness. We also determine the appropriate level of medication and teach patients how to use their medication appropriately. All of these therapies are designed to help the patient return home and resume their lives as quickly as possible.
Families play an important role when admission to a psychiatric treatment center is necessary. Stresses and strains in relationships are intensified. We understand this and encourage family members to express their feelings and learn new ways to cope with their difficulties.
