With cancer of the digestive tract, the patient is fed low-fat cottage cheese, boiled fish, weak broths, steamed minced meat dishes. It is better to give vegetables and fruits crushed or ground. With inoperable forms and obstruction of solid food, liquid porridges, pureed soups, vegetable purees are needed.

You can relieve an attack of pain with the help of medications. To do this, the doctor draws up a scheme for taking analgesics.


As a rule, with systematic pain, the patient is given an anesthetic in combination with sedative drugs. Reception — before going to bed. If necessary, an extraordinary dose of analgesic is given at night.

A number of medications at the beginning of taking increase weakness, cause drowsiness. After 5 days, the condition stabilizes. If the side effects do not go away, the doctor prescribes another drug or changes the dose. Constipation may occur while taking analgesics. The problem won’t go away by itself. The patient needs urgent medical help.

It is advisable to keep a diary in which to note the date, time of taking the medication, the effect. This will allow you to more accurately adjust the anesthesia regimen.

Tablets, unless otherwise specified in the instructions, are taken after meals. This reduces their irritating effect on the gastric mucosa.

Together with medicinal methods of pain relief are shown:

  • light massage of hands, feet, whole body;
  • soft stroking over the place of localization of pain;
  • dry cold or warm. It is applied to a painful area;
